Radar keys available for the Masts gate
We have installed a kissing gate at the Radio Masts entrance to the Common. The reason for this work is that this entrance is the number one access point for illegal motorbikes, which are a persistent issue - and danger – for other users of the Common.
The problem has been getting worse in recent years and the Trustees decided it was time to try to do something about it.
The new gate allows unimpeded access for those on foot. A key-operated lock makes it possible to open the gate fully to allow use by visitors with mobility scooters, horse riders and cyclists.
We have a stock of keys ready to send to people who request one. There is a £10 deposit which is refundable if you no longer require the key and return it to us.
